NEW YORK -- (TYDN) Award-winning news source TheYellowDailyNews has acquired tydn.com to expand its global watchdog reach, TheYellowDailyNews has learned.
TheYellowDailyNews pressmen celebrate tydn.com purchase |
The move comes two months after TheYellowDailyNews purchased the Los Angeles Times and shuttered it without anybody noticing.
Terms of the tydn.com deal, which included a new printing press and other high-tech patented technology, were not immediately disclosed.
Meantime, TheYellowDailyNews' stock tumbled following the Wednesday announcement of the tydn.com purchase. Its shares rebounded in after-hours trading when the Pulitzer-prized winning conglomeration announced it had promoted Thornhille Broome from TheYellowDailyNews' editor at large to its editor in chief.
Broome immediately announced that TheYellowDailyNews acquired sophisticated, patented technology in the deal, and that it would begin suing the millions of companies and individuals it believes is infringing the intellectual property code-named internetis coitas.
TheYellowDailyNews is also taking advantage of this new technology as well, and will use it in its own business model, Broome said in a statement.
The secret technology will grant the millions of TheYellowDailyNews readers the option to type tydn.com into the URL bar of their browser to reach TheYellowDailyNews' online news site. The first-of-its kind technology also permits Internet surfers to navigate to tydn.com by typing yellowdailynews.com or theyellowdailynews.com into their favorite browser's URL bar.
Because of TheYellowDailyNews' just-acquired patented technology, there's no need to update a browser's bookmark to TheYellowDailyNews. What's more, the patented technology means the changeover to tydn.com will not interrupt delivery of TheYellowDailyNews' news feeds and e-mail subscription services.
